Software that analyzes data sets determines
the most appropriate data structure to use. Data structures are forms for
organizing data. They include trees, clusters and multidimensional spaces.
Analyzing large data sets usually requires figuring out the right data structure ahead of time and using software specifically designed for that data structure. The new tool learns the structure inherent in the data and applies the right data structure. The tool could be used to study large data sets like astronomical data, genomes and Internet traffic.
